Default strategy

One thing I forgot to mention is you are permitted to alter your line up during the game. If your hammer man isn't hitting, you may exchanges places in the line up. You can do this every inning if you choose.
The strategy is for the first two shooters to "put them on", or just get hits, no matter where. Three "singles" is a good inning if your hammer man can hit. The most important darts are thrown bt the last man as he is the one who must drive the others in with at least doubles or triples, and maybe a cork which will bring evryone in. A good measuring stick of an excellent hammer man shooter is if he can "bring in two of his own" which entails the at least two reds followed by another red, little white or cork.
Although the first two shooters are important, the hammer man makes or breaks the team, thus, he is usually your best shooter of the three.
These strategies will be better understood once you begin shooting this game. It really is a good game and has become my favorite of the three games we shoot. Of course, because of luck of the draw and other things, I may not get to shoot this on a given night but there also has been nights where I got to play it two or three times. Another of the great possibilities of the way we shoot on fridays.
