another new game from Sauger, "Drive' em In"
Quote:
Drive them in . . . is based on the actual game of baseball. Each team of three shooters shoots innings 1 - 9. A big white is a single, a red a double, a little white a triple, and a cork a home run.
A perfect inning is 9 runs which needs to be 3 "hits" each by the first 2 shooters and then 3 hits by the last shooter, or "hammer man" as he is refrred to with the last dart being a cork.
This is rewarded by a free beer for the shooters.
Most league games are won with around 45 runs with 50 runs needed many times. When up in Clearfield last year our best was a 65. The best game for the day was 67.

ok, i added the chugging smilies. it's an interesting game that i had never heard of. i can imagine there's some strategy involved as far as what to shoot at what point in the inning, and also setting your lineup so the best cork shooter on the team has the hammer spot.
and, i want to mention that this is a game that they shoot in
league play.
with scores coming in in the say 35 to 70 range, we can keep track of that kind of scoring with the pegboard we have set up for the 1 to 9 games we usually play. so, this sounds like a game that we might be able to test out during pick-up games in the tavern.
